Colwill Engineering, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated HVAC Sheet Metal Duct Mechanic in the Orlando, FL area to join our team. Performs the full range of Journeyman level duties for Sheet Metal in the construction, finishing, repair, etc. of buildings.

We are currently offering a competitive range for this full-time position, Monday through Friday. (In-person)

What this Role will Do:

• Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products.
• Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed.
• Install hangers and all related hardware through corridors, confined spaces and other large passages.
• Install commercial sheet metal duct systems using a variety of equipment.
• Install various types of metal and fiberglass duct including (round, oval, rectangular).
• Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating and installing HVAC systems.
• Understand central air conditioning systems.
• Install various types of units that vary in medium to large tonnage.
• Perform some material takeoffs as necessary.
• Able to run large defined areas of a Job-site under light supervision of a Foreman.
• Install/Set Curbs, RTUs, Condensing units, AHUs.
• Work with and manage an apprentice and Junior Mechanic as needed.

• CEM employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of CEM Orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have 5+ years of commercial sheet metal experience.
• High school degree or GED preferred or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Able to work lightly supervised at a fast pace.
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Self-motivated.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Aptitude for technical problem solving.
• Familiarity with building codes and current laws/regulations.
• Reliable means of transportation.
