Job summary

CAM HVAC & Construction, a Crete United company, is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to service commercial private and public-sector projects in Rhode Island. Located in Smithfield, RI, this full-time role offers up to $55 per hour DOE with strong benefits.

You will diagnose and repair HVAC systems, travel to RI and Southern MA sites, and maintain vehicle readiness and safety. Join a growing contractor with a reputation for delivering complex projects on time and budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC experience.
• RI J1/J2 or MA Journeyman license in pipe fitting, sheet metal, or refrigeration.
• Valid driver's license and EPA certificate.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial and public sector customers; diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Travel to job sites in the service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays to customers.
• Maintain the company vehicle in good working order, including refueling as necessary.
• Report mechanical issues and submit monthly vehicle inspection forms; wash vehicles regularly.
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.

HVAC Service Tech Job Description

• Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and public sector customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
• Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure the schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
• Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary,
• Reporting any mechanical issues, and filling out and submitting monthly vehicle inspection form. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis.
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.

HVAC Service Technician Qualifications

• Must have minimum 3 years of HVAC experience.
• RI J1 OR J2 OR MA Journeyman pipe fitter/ sheet metal/ or refrigeration license
• Valid driver's license
