Job summary

Century Mechanical Holdings is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician with strong refrigeration skills to join our growing team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems and commercial refrigeration equipment while delivering excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of hands-on experience, reads schematics, and works independently to complete service calls safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience.
• Commercial refrigeration troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems.
• Experience servicing walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift equipment and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Service air conditioning units, heat pumps, furnaces, RTUs, and split systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, freezers, reach-in refrigerators, and ice machines.
• Diagnose and repair compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, motors, and electrical components.
• Perform refrigerant leak detection, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, thermostats, and refrigeration components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Identify equipment issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues, repairs, and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with EPA regulations, local codes, and company safety standards.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands‑on HVAC service experience required.
• Commercial refrigeration troubleshooting and repair experience required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, components, and controls.
• Experience servicing walk‑in coolers, freezers, and other commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues independently.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service software preferred.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
