Job summary

Hoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, start-ups, warranty work, and repairs on light commercial and industrial systems.

The role emphasizes strong customer service with occasional after-hours calls for emergencies. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or HVAC certificate, 5+ years of related experience, ability to read manuals and blueprints, and EPA refrigerant handling certification (Universal preferred).

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning with certificate.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience preferred.
• EPA mandated card for safe refrigerant handling (Universal certification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain a variety of HVAC equipment at customer sites.
• Read blueprints and manuals to diagnose and repair units.
• Use hand-tools and specialty equipment typical of HVAC service trades.
• Identify and repair systems, report deficiencies, and provide customer updates.
• Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, and replacements as requested.
• Prepare for on-site work by reviewing building layout and coordinating trades.
• Diagnose operational issues and develop repair action plans.
• Determine required replacement parts and complete repairs promptly.
