Hoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is seeking an HVAC and Chiller Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance, start-up, warranty, and repair services on light commercial and industrial systems.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, with occasional after-hours call-outs and limited travel. You will read manuals and blueprints, use hand-tools, and document all work to ensure quality and accountability.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent in HVAC from a technical/trade school.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience preferred.
• Operational knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software preferred.
• Must pass pre-hire requirements including background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening.
• Must possess valid drivers’ license.
• Must possess EPA mandated card for safe refrigerant handling. Universal certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform chiller maintenance and troubleshooting tasks in industrial/commercial settings.
• Service, diagnose, and troubleshoot various types of chillers and HVAC equipment.
• Read blueprints, manuals, and specs to diagnose and repair units.
• Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by assessing layout and coordinating trades.
• Document all work with field service reports and equipment logs.
• Provide technical support to customers and respond to after-hours needs.
