Job summary

ETS in Vermont is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair heating, cooling, and water heating systems. This in-person, full-time role offers excellent benefits and a pathway to growth.

The successful candidate will install oil-fired and gas heating systems, water heaters, and heat pumps, while supporting on-call shifts and training junior technicians. A valid plumbing license and 5+ years of HVAC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid plumbing license (Journeyman or Master) and ability to pull permits.
• Extensive HVAC installation and troubleshooting experience, including heat pumps.
• Certifications in Natural Gas and Refrigerant Usage (Type 1 & 2).
• Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license and minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues with heating, cooling, and hot water systems.
• Install oil-fired and natural gas heating systems, water heaters, and cold climate heat pumps.
• Provide emergency service support during rotating on-call shifts.
• Train junior technicians and support day-to-day operations as a backup to the Service Manager.
• Maintain accurate service records and manage inventory of parts and tools.
