Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc in Orlando, FL is hiring a full-time HVAC Service Technician I to service commercial equipment onsite. You will work on rooftop units, chillers, and air handling systems, receiving comprehensive training and growing technical skills.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (associate degree or HVAC certificate preferred) and 0-2 years of related experience, with a valid driver's license. OSHA 10 and EPA certification are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or HVAC certificate preferred.
• 0-2 years related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Maintain/commercial HVAC equipment: log machines, clean coils, replace filters/belts, lubricate components.
• Repair/replace defective components for rooftop units, chillers, AHUs, and related systems.
• Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks.
• Assist warranty service by inspecting/testing systems.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and service reports promptly.
• Communicate service status with customers before, during, and after calls.
• Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in regional training and Daikin Learning programs.
• Maintain certifications and develop new skills; keep workspace clean and safe.
• Follow OSHA and Daikin safety policies and procedures.
