Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, seeks a full-time HVAC Service Technician I in Raleigh, NC. You will service commercial and industrial equipment including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and heat pumps, with comprehensive training through in-person, online, and on‑the‑job programs.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, documentation, and customer communication, with ongoing Daikin training and certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or HVAC certificate training preferred.
• 0-2 years of related work experience or entry-level.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as needed.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification within 90 days of hire (training provided).
• Current first aid/CPR card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, belts, and lubrication.
• Assist in repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring related to fan coils, heat pumps, AHU, rooftops, cooling towers, and condensers.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Assist with warranty service by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and related items promptly.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences during service visits.
• Participate in available training through regional technicians and Daikin Learning; maintain required certifications and continue developing skills.
• Ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards, policies, procedures; uphold safe work practices.
• Follow OSHA and Daikin safety policies and procedures.

Education

Associate's degree or HVAC certificate (preferred)

EPA Universal Technician Certification (preferred)

OSHA 10 (must complete within 90 days)
