Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is hiring an HVAC Service Technician I for an onsite role in Atlanta, GA. You will work on commercial equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, and boilers, with comprehensive training provided.

You will assist with maintenance, repairs, and warranty service while documenting work and communicating with customers. OSHA 10 and EPA certs are supported during onboarding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 0–1 year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines and replacing filters.
• Assist in repair and replacement of defective equipment across multiple HVAC systems.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks.
• Assist with warranty service by testing system functionality.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and reports promptly.
• Explain technical information to customers and keep them updated on status.
• Participate in training programs and maintain required certifications.
• Ensure clean and safe work area; follow safety policies.

Location: Atlanta, GA. – Onsite

Your Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication


• Assist in the repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes


• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks


• Assist with warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components


• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner


• Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences


• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets


• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld


• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures

Your Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED


• Associate’s degree or technical school with an HVAC certificate (preferred)


• 0-1 years of related work experience


• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record


• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required


• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district


• Commercial HVAC industry experience (preferred)


• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)


• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (Daikin provides this training during onboarding process)


• Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $20.80 - $ 33.27 in Georgia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
