Job summary

Allbritten is seeking an HVAC Technician to service residential and commercial systems. The role requires reading plans, fabricating and installing ductwork, and performing full-service maintenance.

You will work in private homes and commercial settings, ensuring safety and quality while coordinating with scheduling for steady workflow. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of HVAC experience, a valid driver's license, and strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years’ experience as an HVAC Technician preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and insurability required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality customer service.

Job Summary

HVAC Technician will have experience working on HVAC equipment, ductwork, sheet metal and be able to read plans accordingly to layout.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality customer service.
• Work with scheduling to ensure your workflow is steady and consistent
• Inspect HVAC systems for effectiveness, efficiency, possible mechanical issues and safety concerns.
• Knowledge and ability to fabricate and install ductwork (both flexible and hard pipes)
• Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and at times some electrical work may be required for a task to be completed. (Additional certification maybe needed for electrical work, please review with your manager)
• Determining the right tool and/or equipment for the job.
• Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
• General construction knowledge.
• Knowledge and ability to install air and water filters
• Knowledge of passing electrical wire through conduit, splices wire connections and tapes wires.
• Knowledge and experience replacing exhausted and/or defective containers of refrigerant with new refrigerant.
• Knowledge and experience completing a HVAC unit full-service maintenance.
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot a unit.
• Ensure the work area is kept neat and clean throughout the job.
• Knowledge and of lubricating fans, motors and control units
• Performs other work-related duties at immediate supervisor request

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma and/or GED certificate
• 2+ years’ experience as an HVAC Technician
• Valid Driver’s License and must be insurable.

Physical Demands:

• Push/pull up to 75Lbs.
• Ability to kneel for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 75 Lbs.
• Ability to squat consistently.
• Ability to consistently twist, stoop, bend/crouch, crawl, and reach.
• Ability to sit up to 8 -10 hours.
• Ability to stand up to 8 -10 hours
• Repetitive hand, wrists, arm and leg motion

Work Environment:

• Field
• Working in private residences as well as commercial
• While performing the duties of this job, the HVAC Service Technician will be exposed to:
  1. Excessive heat/cold, inside/outside work, excessive noise, body mechanic repetitious, work
  2. Varies weather conditions (wet/dry surfaces), dust/debris, and confining areas of a home for short period of time.
  3. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibrations.
  4. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shocks
