KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician for commercial clients in Glen Burnie, MD and Gaithersburg, MD. This full-time role offers $40–$50/hour with overtime opportunities and a path for career growth.

The ideal candidate has commercial HVAC service experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver's license. Journeyman's license and EPA certification are preferred but not required, with a commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC service experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service, and repair medium to large commercial HVAC systems.
• Work with rooftop units (RTUs), heat pumps, split systems, air handlers, and controls.
• Perform diagnostics using appropriate tools and instruments.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble HVAC components.
• Communicate service needs and recommendations to supervisors and customers.
• Maintain safe work practices and ensure OSHA compliance.

Education

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, service, and repair medium to large commercial HVAC systems
• Work with rooftop units (RTUs), heat pumps, split systems, air handlers, and associated controls
• Perform diagnostics using appropriate tools and instruments
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble HVAC system components
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and customers about service needs and recommendations
• Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations

What You’ll Need

• Commercial HVAC service experience required
• Strong skills in troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC systems and controls
• Journeyman's license (preferred, but not required)
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
• High school diploma or GED
• Universal EPA certification (preferred)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
