Job summary

GMS, a Crete United company, is seeking an HVAC Technician for the Baltimore/Annapolis area in a full-time union setting. You will troubleshoot and repair commercial heating and cooling systems, including boilers, chillers, and rooftop units, while ensuring compliance with plans and specs.

The position offers $51.13 per hour with overtime, health insurance (including dental and vision) for employees and family, a 401K retirement plan, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of HVAC technician experience with heavy troubleshooting and repair.
• Proven experience with chillers and rooftop units.
• EPA certification up to date (HVAC) preferred.
• OSHA 10 or higher preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial/industrial heating and cooling systems (up to 70 tons).
• Replace heating, air conditioning, or refrigeration equipment or complete systems.
• Inspect and test systems for compliance and malfunctions.
• Clean, adjust, and repair systems; perform warranty services.

Job description

HVAC Tech Candidates should have strong evidence of troubleshooting experience with boilers, burners, chillers, walk in coolers, pumps, VRF/VAV’s, RTU Units. This is a Full-time permanent Union position in Baltimore/ Annapolis area with the 486!

This position will be working in the DC Metro area. $51.13/hr with OT available.

What you’ll be doing:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various commercial and industrial heating and cooling systems (up to 70 tons applied and air chillers)
• Replace any heating, air conditioning, or refrigeration equipment, or complete systems.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you need to bring to the table:

• At least 5 years of prior experience working as an HVAC technician with heavy trouble shooting and repair experience.
• Proven experience with Chillers and rooftop units.
• Factory training credentials are desired.
• OSHA 10 or better is preferred.
• Candidates must have an EPA certification that is up to date and valid.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge and understanding of HVAC service techniques.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening.
• High School degree or equivalent.
