Job summary

Blackmon Service seeks a seasoned Commercial HVAC Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade large-scale HVAC systems for clients in commercial and industrial settings. You will diagnose electrical and control systems, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to on-call needs with a customer-focused approach.

A valid EPA certification and clean driving record are required. Travel 5-10% may be required; you’ll work with a team to ensure uptime and energy efficiency for

Qualifications

• 5+ years in HVACR industry.
• Liebert/Data Center/Mission Critical experience a plus.
• Knowledge of HVAC, controls, and electrical systems.
• Universal EPA Certification Card.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Must be able to pass background, fitness for duty, and drug tests as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Repairs, Improvements, and Modifications of Commercial and Industrial HVAC Equipment.
• Provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for HVAC systems.
• Diagnose electrical, control, and mechanical issues and implement reliable solutions.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure high service standards.
• Flexibility for on-call duties and occasional overtime as needed.

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for all aspects of mechanical service including but not limited to: Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Repairs, Improvements, and Modifications of Commercial and Industrial HVAC Equipment.

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in the HVACR industry. Liebert/Data Center/Mission Critical experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of HVAC, Controls, and Electrical systems.
• Universal EPA Certification Card.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Valid Social Security number.
• Must be able to pass background, fit for duty, and drug test(s) as required by company and customers.
• 5 - 10% travel required
• Written, Verbal, interpersonal, and telephone communications skills is a must.
• Requires a great attitude working with both customers and internal parties.
• Position requires a self-motivated problem solver that has the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team-orientated environment.
• Must be able to communicate intelligently and effectively with customers and BSI Management.
• Flexible work schedule. Requires 24/7 support as deemed necessary/occasional unexpected Overtime.
• Scheduled Family friendly On-Call and Back-Up for after hour’s customer/site support.
