Job summary

Harris in Louisiana is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to repair, install, maintain, and adjust equipment across commercial sites. The role requires reading wiring diagrams, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance while communicating with customers and the office team.

On-call rotations may include evenings and weekends, and the position includes a company vehicle, phone, iPad, uniforms and tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a service technician in HVAC or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Familiar with a wide range of HVAC equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with chillers, VRF/VRV, boilers or commercial refrigeration is a plus.

The purpose of your role as an HVAC Service Technician

• Repair, install, maintain, and adjust equipment

• Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment

• Perform routine preventative maintenance

• Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion

• Ability to work some evening and weekends (On call rotation)

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

• Communicate effectively with customer and office team regarding work needed or performed

What we’re looking for in you

• Valid driver’s license

• Driving record that meets company standards

• 3+ Years as a Service Technician in HVAC

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints

• Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques

• Experience making repair and replace decisions to forward to sales team

• Advanced customer service skills

• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medium to large tonnage commercial and industrial HVAC equipment

• Knowledge of basic commercial building systems operations

• Specialty knowledge of chillers, VRF/VRV, commercial refrigeration, or boilers are a plus
