Job summary

Harris is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Maryland to repair, install, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of commercial and industrial equipment. You will read wiring diagrams, interpret blueprints, and work on chillers, boilers, VRF/VRV systems, and refrigeration as needed.

Responsibilities include responding to work orders, coordinating with the sales team when replacement decisions are required, and actively communicating with customers and the office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as HVAC Service Technician
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience making repair and replace decisions to forward to sales team
• Advanced customer service skills
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medium to large tonnage commercial and industrial HVAC equipment

The purpose of your role as an HVAC Service Technician: repair, install, maintain, and adjust equipment, troubleshoot and repair defective equipment, and perform routine preventative maintenance.

What We're Looking For In You

• Valid driver's license
• Driving record that meets company standards
• 3+ years as a Service Technician in HVAC
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience making repair and replace decisions to forward to sales team
• Advanced customer service skills
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medium to large tonnage commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
• Knowledge of basic commercial building systems operations
• Specialty knowledge of chillers, VRF/VRV, commercial refrigeration, or boilers is a plus
