CARJON Air Conditioning & Heating in Smithfield, RI is seeking an Experienced HVAC Service Technician. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of residential systems, delivering top-tier customer service and professional recommendations.

The role requires a RI Journeyman license (PJ2/RJ2), 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, a clean driving record, and ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints. EPA certification is essential.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (On-call rotation as needed - we keep it fair and manageable)

What You'll Do

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide variety of residential heating and air conditioning systems
• Deliver outstanding customer service and clear recommendations on every call
• Work independently while being fully supported by a strong team
• Provide feedback to the Service Manager on training needs, inventory, and pricing

What You Need

• Active Rhode Island Journeyman HVAC License (PJ2 and/or RJ2)
• Strong mechanical background and 5+ years of hands-on experience
• Clean, insurable driving record
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Experience making repair vs. replace decisions
• Advanced customer service skills and willingness to take on leadership roles
• Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices and air balancing principles
• Universal EPA Certification
• Familiarity with major brands (American Standard, Trane, Rheem, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Viessmann, Burnham, Honeywell, York, Ruud, Goodman, Carrier, Bryant, Amana, Lennox, etc.)
