A-1 United Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking a dedicated HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will install, inspect, and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in homes and businesses.

With a staff of over 100, we offer a supportive work environment and the opportunity to grow your career in the HVAC industry. Commission is also available for qualified sales leads.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HVAC experience preferred.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification required.
• Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school preferred.
• Previous on-the-job training a plus.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex HVAC issues to customers.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Punctuality and ability to adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments.

Responsibilities

• Travel to homes and businesses as scheduled.
• Consult with customers to determine their needs.
• Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues.
• Sell ongoing maintenance contracts to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of customer appointments and transactions.
• Manage inventory of equipment and HVAC resources.

Compensation

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Commission is also available for qualified sales leads.
