Job summary

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Indianapolis to service and repair residential HVAC systems while educating customers on options and investments. You will work under NEW management, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring high-quality work.

The role emphasizes technical excellence, adherence to pricing guidelines, and building customer trust through thorough diagnostics and clear explanations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of verifiable HVAC service experience required.
• EPA Type 1 and 2 required.
• NATE certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Serve One Hour clients by expertly servicing and repairing HVAC systems and components.
• Focus on technical excellence to deliver on Always on Time…Or You Don’t Pay a Dime! ® proposition.
• Use the Straight Forward Pricing Guide® system and True Cost Calculator on each call.
• Assess systems to determine repair or replacement recommendations and explain services to customers.
• Test systems after service to ensure proper operation and first-time fix.
• Inspect customer systems to prevent future breakdowns.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and write recommendations on invoices.
• Explain Club Membership Agreements and maintain conversion/renewal rates.
• Provide customer leads to Sales Lead Coordinator when appropriate.
• Adhere to the One Hour Code of Ethics and Team policies.

Responsibilities:

• Serve One Hour clients by expertly servicing and repairing HVAC systems and components.
• Focus on technical excellence in order to live up to the company’s unique proposition of Always on Time…Or You Don’t Pay a Dime! ®.
• Utilize the Straight Forward Pricing Guide® system, including the True Cost Calculator on each call.
• Assess systems to determine repair or replacement recommendations to clients. Explain to the customer each service and repair performed and make sure that the client is 100% satisfied with all work.
• Test each system after each service or repair is completed prior to leaving the customer’s home to make sure that the system is working properly and that it was fixed right the first time.
• Perform a proper inspection of the customer’s system to prevent future breakdowns.
• Accurately complete all paperwork and ensure recommendations are written on invoices.
• Explains Club Membership Agreements to every customer and maintain a conversion rate of at least 25% on non-Club Members and a 90% renewal rate on existing Club Members.
• Provide customer leads to the Sales Lead Coordinator when identifying a potential need for system additions or replacements.
• Obey the One Hour Code of Ethics, Team Rules, and Team Philosophy.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of verifiable HVAC service experience required.
• EPA Type 1 and 2 required.
• NATE certification preferred.
• Must display strong communication skills and technical competence.
• Must sign the Company Code of Ethics and agree to being videotaped for training and compliance purposes at least six (6) times per year.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
