Job summary

Hope Plumbing, Heating & Cooling in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential systems. You’ll perform maintenance on furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, and related equipment, while educating customers and presenting repair and replacement options.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, airflow, and refrigeration principles.
• EPA Certification required.
• Knowledge of local HVAC codes and industry best practices.
• Experience performing repairs, maintenance, and customer-facing service work.
• Commitment to continuous learning and development.
• Clean driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High integrity and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and testing on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment.
• Navigate crawlspaces and attics as needed.
• Educate customers and provide repair and replacement options.
• Present financing and maintenance plan options.
• Ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
• Meet and exceed service and revenue goals.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience that builds trust and generates referrals.
• Partner with customer service and dispatch teams to ensure success.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and job site.
• Participate in training, meetings, and company events.
• Mentor and train apprentices.
• Complete invoices, timecards, and documentation accurately and on time.
