Job summary

1‑800 Plumber +Air of Frisco is seeking a motivated HVAC/refrigeration technician to diagnose, repair and maintain commercial refrigeration systems and related equipment. You will work on-site, perform routine maintenance, and communicate clearly with customers about work scope and timelines.

Applicants should have a current driver’s license and be able to pass drug screenings, with experience in light commercial and restaurant refrigeration equipment. Training and development are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a current driver’s license.
• Must pass pre- and post-employment drug screenings.
• Experience with light commercial and restaurant freezer/refrigeration equipment, ice makers, refrigerants operations and processes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose HVAC, refrigeration and/or electrical systems by observation, testing and setup.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Operate hand tools or measuring equipment to service equipment and systems.
• Explain issues and work to customers, including timelines and wait times.
• Perform routine maintenance and filter changes as per customer agreements.
• Maintain inventory and keep the service vehicle stocked with required parts.
• Maintain professional appearance and build relationships with clients.

Requirements:

Job Description:

• Diagnoses HVAC, refrigeration and/or electrical system through observation, testing and setup.
• Disassembles and reassembles commercial or residential equipment to perform trouble shooting and preventive maintenance.
• Operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to perform service to the equipment and/or mechanical system.
• Explains the issue and work and work to be performed and completed to the customer. Provides a timeline and explain any wait times.
• Perform routine maintenance and filter changes on equipment in accordance with the customer agreement.
• Maintain an inventory and keep the service vehicle supplied with the appropriate stock required.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Build and maintain relationships with our clients.
