Job summary

HI-VAC Air Conditioning Service is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair a range of residential and light commercial systems. The role includes working on RTUs up to 25 tons, doing maintenance calls, and interpreting wiring diagrams.

You will advise customers on repairs and upgrades, and help with invoicing. We offer training on latest equipment, NATE certification, and a supportive, family-owned environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a Service Technician (residential and/or light commercial).
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• NATE certification preferred; training provided.
• Knowledge of TRANE equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus; strong customer communication.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required.
• Background check and drug test may be required after conditional offer.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and repair on residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• RTU systems up to 25 tons and light commercial equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance calls.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams.

HVAC Service Technician | $28.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience + Spiffs and Bonuses

Work Schedule: 8:00am to 5:00pm | Monday through Friday | occasional overtime

Job Duties:

• Diagnostics and repair on a wide variety of residential and light commercial air conditioning systems
• RTU's up to 25 tons and residential equipment in light commercial settings
• Routine maintenance calls
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Consult with customer on repair, upgrades and replacement options
• Provide clear communication on diagnoses/recommendations and invoicing for customer and service manager
