Responsibilities

• Provide professional recommendations for repairs or replacements.
• Complete detailed service documentation of work performed.
• Maintain inventory on service vehicles and communicate with dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with building, gas, and safety codes.

Role Overview

Technician HVAC Fireplace Service (2025-1285)

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Fireplace Service Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on gas, electric, and wood‑burning fireplace systems. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with customers, and ensuring that every fireplace operates safely, efficiently, and beautifully. The ideal candidate has solid HVAC or gas service experience, excellent problem‑solving skills, and takes pride in quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in HVAC service, gas fireplace repair, or related technical field. - Strong working knowledge of gas fitting, venting, electrical, and HVAC systems. - Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer service manuals. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. - Strong communication and customer interaction abilities. - Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. - Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions. Preferred Qualifications - Gas Fitter License (G1, G2, or equivalent, depending on state). - EPA Universal Certification or HVAC license. - Experience servicing major fireplace brands and electronic control systems. - Background in both residential and light commercial fireplace systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair fireplaces and related components, including gas valves, pilot assemblies, controls, fans, and venting systems. - Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on all fireplace types (gas, electric, wood‑burning, and pellet). - Clean, test, and adjust systems to ensure optimal performance, appearance, and safety. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to gas supply, ignition systems, electrical connections, and venting configurations. - Provide professional recommendations for repairs, upgrades, or replacements based on system condition. - Complete detailed service documentation, including diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and parts used. - Deliver excellent customer service by explaining system operations, maintenance needs, and safety procedures in clear, professional terms. - Maintain inventory of commonly used parts and materials on service vehicles. - Ensure compliance with all applicable building, gas, and safety codes. - Collaborate with dispatchers and office staff to ensure timely response and efficient route scheduling.

Pay Range

USD $28.00 - USD $32.00 /Hr.
