Aerotek is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our Rochester team. You will service commercial and industrial HVAC systems, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and perform preventive maintenance across the Rochester area.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00/hr+ (Higher rates considered based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using testing equipment, blueprints, and schematics.
• Repair or replace faulty HVAC components and controls.
• Assist with HVAC installations, system startups, and upgrades.
• Service boilers and related mechanical systems.
• Complete service documentation and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Travel to local customer sites throughout the Rochester area (typically within 30 miles).
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours service support.

Qualifications

• Previous HVAC service, maintenance, or installation experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC and electrical systems.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance.
• Familiarity with commercial HVAC equipment and boilers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• EPA Certification and OSHA 10 Certification are preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday - Friday

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

30-minute lunch break

Technicians participate in a rotating on-call schedule approximately every 5-6 weeks, with additional compensation provided for each on-call week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
