Cooper Heating & Cooling, Inc. is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial systems. You will perform routine maintenance, document findings, and recommend cost-effective improvements for comfort and efficiency.

The role emphasizes clear communication with customers, professional service, and participation in on-call rotations, including holidays, to ensure reliable system operation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of residential HVAC experience or relevant technical training.
• EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal) required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
• NATE certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits).
• Perform routine maintenance to optimize performance, efficiency, and longevity.
• Explain system conditions and options to customers; present maintenance plans and upsell opportunities.
• Follow safety protocols; keep the vehicle organized; complete service tickets and documentation.
• Participate in on-call emergency rotations and holidays as required.

This role also includes participation in an emergency on-call rotation, including holidays, responding promptly to urgent service needs to ensure customer comfort and system reliability.
