Job summary

Sunshine Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician in Belleview, FL or Clermont/Groveland, FL to diagnose, repair, and service a range of heating and cooling systems. Earn $85k–$100k+ annually with hourly pay plus commission, plus a sign-on bonus and OT opportunities.

Training and development are provided. This full-time role requires strong technical skills, reliable customer service, and the ability to work on-site in customers' homes.

Sunshine Air Conditioning is growing, and we're adding experienced Residential HVAC Service Technicians to our team.

We're looking for technicians who are confident walking into a home, diagnosing the issue, determining the right repair, and communicating the solution clearly to the homeowner. Openings are available in both Belleview and Clermont/Groveland. Please indicate your preferred location when applying.

Pay: Hourly plus commission, with expected annual earnings of $85,000 - 100,000+

• Sign-on bonus available for qualified technicians

Hours: Monday–Friday, start time at 7:30 AM, rotating on-call to support our after-hours services

What You'll Do

• Diagnosing residential HVAC equipment and determining the source of system problems
• Performing repairs and service on a variety of heating and cooling systems
• Testing electrical and refrigeration components
• Clearly explaining findings, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners
• Completing service calls efficiently without sacrificing quality
• Maintaining accurate documentation for each customer visit
• Keeping your company vehicle organized and properly supplied
• Maintaining your tools, equipment, and work area
• Following established safety procedures and industry standards
• Working closely with the Sunshine team to ensure a smooth customer experience

Qualifications

Required

• Previous experience servicing residential HVAC systems
• Universal EPA or Type II certification
• Strong understanding of refrigeration and electrical fundamentals
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Ability to work from ladders up to 12 feet
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Customer-service-oriented approach
• Basic HVAC service tools

Preferred

• HVAC technical school or formal HVAC training
• Familiarity with local codes and ordinances
• NATE certification or willingness to pursue certification
