Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician II to service a range of commercial and industrial equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, and boilers, at our Greensboro on-site location. You will receive comprehensive training through in-person, online, and on-the-job programs.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and warranty service while mentoring Level I technicians and coordinating with regional trainers.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience: 3+ years in HVAC or related industry.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Current first aid / CPR card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
• Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components.
• Direct Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Introduction to centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner.
• Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld
• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associates Degree or HVAC certification (preferred)

EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)

OSHA 10 certification (preferred)

Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)
