Job summary

American Mechanical Services LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced HVAC service technician for a full-time, in-person role. You will diagnose and repair residential and commercial systems, perform preventive maintenance, and provide accurate service reports while working with customers across the Lowcountry.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of HVAC experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two to three years of directly related HVAC experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant work.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose residential and commercial HVAC system problems.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, replacements, and system evaluations.
• Diagnose refrigerant, airflow, electrical, drainage, thermostat, and control issues.
• Troubleshoot motors, capacitors, contactors, control boards, valves, sensors, and other system components.
• Inspect coils, blowers, ducts, and electrical components.
• Complete service reports, time entries, and documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, dispatch, and management.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles.
