Job summary

Legacy Mechanical & Energy Services, a growing East Bay HVAC contractor, is seeking a hands-on Service Manager to lead the HVAC Service department, support technicians, and coordinate scheduling while upholding our Safety First philosophy. You will lead and mentor technicians, optimize field operations, and maintain strong customer relationships while prioritizing safety, quality, and timely service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop technicians.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with service management software and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• EPA Universal Certification and/or Journeyman-level experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the daily activities of the Service Department and HVAC technicians.
• Coordinate with Dispatch to manage scheduling, priorities, emergency calls, and workload.
• Coach and mentor technicians to improve productivity, quality, safety, and service.
• Provide technical and operational support to technicians in the field as needed.
• Monitor service calls, work orders, and preventive maintenance completion.
• Build strong customer relationships and resolve service concerns promptly.
• Identify repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance opportunities and report to Sales.
• Review work orders for accuracy, labor, and materials.
• Promote and enforce Legacy Mechanical’s Safety First policy.
