Job summary

Polestar Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a data-driven HVAC Service Manager to lead the service team with precision, accountability, and a focus on high-performance energy.

You will coach technicians, analyze KPIs, and drive revenue and customer satisfaction through weekly huddles, strong process adherence, and proactive performance plans.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing HVAC service teams in a residential environment.
• Strong ability to analyze numbers, interpret performance data, and coach based on KPIs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to train technicians in both technical and customer-facing skills.
• Operational mindset: efficiency, profitability, process compliance, and customer care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC service technicians to hit daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
• Own and improve team performance in key metrics such as Revenue per Tech / per Day, Average Ticket & Close Rate, Membership Conversions & Renewals, Recall Percentage, and Customer Satisfaction / Google Reviews.
• Run daily huddles, ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
• Ensure technicians follow Polestar processes, pricing, standards, and safety protocols.
• Monitor dispatch board, capacity, call flow, job accuracy, and profitability.
• Partner with leadership to set monthly goals, adjust KPIs, and implement performance plans.
• Ensure proper training on diagnostics, communication, customer experience, and service-based selling.
