Job Description

Bayonet Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning, a division of IES, is seeking a successful and driven professional for the role of HVAC Service Manager.

The Service Manager will plan and oversee the operations of the HVAC Service Department statewide to ensure that Bayonet's goals and objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, interview, and hire Area Managers for each branch statewide.
  • Train new employees on Bayonet/IES policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordinate continuing education to develop staff skills.
  • Communicate with area managers to organize and coordinate daily job scheduling.
  • Conduct disciplinary actions and terminations as needed, following company policy.
  • Organize and oversee staff schedules and work assignments.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations to promote growth and development.
  • Analyze performance, financial, and activity data to measure productivity.
  • Develop training programs based on tracked errors to reduce mistakes and clarify policies.
  • Hold regular department meetings to discuss performance, policies, and goals.
  • Follow up with management and technicians to ensure goal achievement.
  • Respond promptly to inter-company emails.
  • Address escalated customer and partner concerns.
  • Maintain proper company attire, including pants and a collared shirt, and be prepared for on-site visits.
  • Collaborate with administration to develop growth plans.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to effectively communicate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Strong managerial and supervisory skills, with mentorship capabilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of residential HVAC service.
  • Experience with Service Titan is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook; familiarity with Adobe and Service Titan is highly recommended.
