CPI Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Mount Vernon, WA is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Installer to lead residential installation projects from start to finish.

You will install furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, ductless systems, and related equipment, mentor apprentices, ensure code compliance, and collaborate with dispatch and service teams to deliver safe, high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• Lead installation crews preferred.
• Knowledge of heat pumps, gas furnaces, air conditioning, ductless mini-splits, and sheet metal/duct work.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish.
• Install furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, ductless systems, ductwork, and IAQ equipment.
• Ensure installations meet specs, codes, and standards.
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout installation.
• Complete installation documentation, photos, and paperwork.
• Perform system startups, testing, and commissioning.
• Maintain safe, organized work environment.

CPI Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Installer to join our growing team in Mount Vernon, Washington. We're looking for a motivated professional who enjoys working independently, mentoring others, and installing residential HVAC systems the right way—the first time.

What You'll Do

• Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish.
• Install furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, ductless mini-split systems, ductwork, and indoor air quality equipment.
• Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company quality standards.
• Supervise and mentor installation apprentices and junior technicians.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
• Complete required job documentation, photos, and installation paperwork accurately.
• Perform system startups, testing, and commissioning.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Collaborate with dispatch, warehouse, and service teams to ensure efficient project completion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• Previous experience leading installation crews preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Heat pumps
• Gas furnaces
• Air conditioning systems
• Ductless mini-splits
• Sheet metal and duct modifications
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read installation plans and equipment specifications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Washington HVAC certifications/licenses
• Experience with IAQ products and accessories
• Sales or customer education experience
