Job summary

New England Mechanical Services in Gorham, Maine is seeking an HVAC Technician licensed for gas and EPA 608 Universal to maintain, troubleshoot, repair and operate commercial HVAC systems for our Gorham Operations Group.

We serve commercial customers in Central and Southern Maine. A company vehicle, HVAC equipment, gas card, cell phone, uniforms and all PPE is provided. Strong communication and timely response are valued.

Qualifications

• State of Maine Gas license is required.
• EPA 608 Universal certification required.
• Commercial HVAC systems experience preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Keep trade licenses and certifications current.
• Follow and comply with section 608 CAA and safety regulations.
• Attend all safety training provided by NEMSI.
• Follow NEMSI safety policies and use PPE when servicing HVAC systems.
• Interact with clients professionally and maintain a neat appearance.
• Flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job Summary

New England Mechanical Services is currently seeking an HVAC Technician with gas and Universal Refrigeration licensed to maintain trouble shoot, repair and operate commercial HVAC systems for our Gorham, Maine CT Operations Group.

We serve commercial customers in Central and Southern Maine.

This position prefers the selected individuals to have commercial HVAC systems experience, the ability to respond on a moment’s notice, and strong communication skills.

A company vehicle, HVAC equipment, gas card, cell phone, uniforms, and all PPE is provided.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include but not limited to the following.

Keep trade licenses and certifications current.

Follow and comply with the rules and regulations of section 608 of the clean air act and occupational safety regulations mandated by federal, state and local governments.

Attend all safety training provided and/or sponsored by NEMSI.

Follow all NEMSI safety policies, procedures, and use personal protective equipment when performing installation and/or servicing HVAC systems.

Interact with the client in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a clean and neat appearance.

Flexible to work overtime and weekends as demand requires.

Other duties may be assigned.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, smell and lift, set-up and climb ladders as well as stairways. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move various weight ranges such as 0-50 lbs. frequently, 51-100 lbs. occasionally and 101 plus seldom. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Maintain a neat and clean appearance and utilize all protective equipment provided and as required.

Compensation Range: $30.00-$45.00 hourly commensurate with experience.
