Job summary

Texas AirSystems in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Service Estimator with project management experience to estimate quoted service and preventive maintenance contracts and oversee basic execution of HVAC projects.

You will collaborate with sales, customers, vendors, technicians, and area service managers to define scope, manage margins, and deliver accurate, organized estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years’ experience in construction/HVAC service.
• Typically 3–5 years’ experience estimating HVAC mechanical service.
• Proficiency with a mechanical estimating software is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills and strong math/analytical abilities.
• Ability to read equipment submittal data and O&M manuals.
• Engineering/construction management background is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Estimate mechanical service and preventive maintenance costs with the sales team.
• Assemble accurate, organized estimates in a timely manner.
• Organize subcontractor and vendor quotations to meet contract documents.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and clients.
• Attend pre-bid walk-throughs and clearly identify scope with sales.
• Support turnover meetings and define scope/material with service managers.
• Manage project to margin expectations and customer satisfaction.
• Provide project close and documentation as required.
