Job summary

Modigent is seeking an entry-level Service Agent I - HVAC to coordinate daily service activities, dispatch calls, and ensure a smooth, professional experience for customers and technicians in Tampa, FL. This role supports the Service Department and collaborates with field teams to optimize schedules and timely service delivery.

This position emphasizes organization, clear communication, and a customer-first mindset within a growing nationwide HVAC, plumbing, and controls services provider.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3 years in customer service, dispatching, administrative support, or inside sales (HVAC or service industry a plus).
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver's license not required for this office-based role.
• Work environment: Hybrid options possible; professional office setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive, record, and dispatch incoming service requests.
• Identify technicians and schedule work to balance productivity and service.
• Answer calls with a warm, professional demeanor and liaise with field technicians.
• Set, confirm, and reschedule appointments; maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Procure job-related materials and coordinate delivery or pickup.
• Review work orders for accuracy and finalize for invoicing.
• Assist with weekly AR reviews and support collections as needed.
• Handle full-cycle invoicing from creation to completion.
• Maintain refrigerant management docs and truck stock inventory.
• Provide superior customer service to internal teams and external clients.
• Perform other duties to support the Service Department.
