Job summary

STRM Recruiting partners with a leading HVAC firm in the Chicago area to identify a General Manager for the Residential service center. The role entails full P&L responsibility, building a high-performing team, and driving revenue while maintaining customer focus and brand standards.

The General Manager will oversee field and office teams, ensure policy adherence, and develop programs to achieve ambitious sales goals in a competitive market. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years leading teams servicing B2C & B2B markets.
• Minimum of 8 years leading a fast-paced service organization with growth track record.
• Bachelor’s degree required with 4–6 years related experience; Master’s preferred.
• Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assuming full operational responsibility for profit and loss related activities.
• Establishing a team culture among service center personnel with high customer satisfaction.
• Administering policies and procedures across the service center.
• Monitoring and evaluating salaries and performance through annual reviews.
• Preparing forecasts, budgets, and reports and ensuring timely paperwork flow.
• Recruiting, selecting, and training all service center staff.
• Performing financial analysis to identify trends and act on findings.
• Optimizing the service center to improve efficiency and meet goals.
• Developing new programs and executing plans to exceed sales targets.
• Maintaining knowledge of competitors and driving market leadership.
