Job summary

Mechanical Sales Midwest in Tulsa, OK is seeking an HVAC Sales Engineer (Equipment and Systems) to provide HVAC technical systems application expertise to engineers, contractors and end users. This full-time role involves promoting, estimating, bidding, closing and delivering successful HVAC systems for commercial and industrial facilities.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, five years of engineering systems experience, and at least two years in HVAC equipment sales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or possess a proven track record of equivalent related field experience.
  • Five years of experience in engineering systems or related field.
  • Two years in HVAC equipment sales or related field.
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and HVAC concepts and operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and strengthen relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Strong problem solving ability.
  • Ability to evaluate urgency of situation and prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support mechanical engineers with HVAC equipment application engineering and equipment selections for project specific applications.
  • Offer education and insight on HVAC technology currently available as well as emerging and innovative systems being introduced and applied. Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Seek deep understanding of each individual projects unique design criteria and budget. Offer solutions that support the desired indoor environment taking into consideration comfort, health, sound, reliability, ease of maintenance, energy expense, environmental precision requirements, process environment demands and system longevity.
  • Support contractors with information, technical expertise and customer service to ensure they are able to ultimately provide a premier solution to the owner at the lowest possible cost.
  • Work effectively with all involved parties such as controls or balancing contractors, to aid the installation and commissioning teams, so they view Mechanical Sales positively within the industry.
  • Work in conjunction with the entire sales team to coordinate sales and business development activities. Participate in sales team meetings. Share opportunities and information with relevant team members.

Responsibilities Include:

Sales Engineer is responsible for providing HVAC technical systems application expertise in a consultative manner to Engineers, Contractors and End Users for the HVAC manufacturer’s we represent.
