Job summary

Dorse & Company, a member of the AIR Control Concepts family, is seeking an HVAC Sales Engineer to promote represented product lines and influence design decisions in Seattle, WA.

The role involves engaging with engineers, architects, building owners, and facility managers to explain product performance and support bids and submittals. Remote work flexibility is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and HVAC knowledge.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and equipment-specific software.

  • Lead engineering appointments and training lunches.
  • Visit job sites or owner facilities to develop solutions or resolve field challenges.
  • Travel with engineers or customers to trainings and seminars.

Salary Range: $100,000-$160,000 annually

Job Description:

This HVAC Sales Engineer will focus on the technical promotion of the products represented by Dorse & Co. and will strive to have our products as the basis of design in construction documents. This position willinterface withconsulting mechanical engineers, architects, building owners, facility managers, end users, and other entities asdeemedappropriate toachieve the basis of design. The ability to educate othersregardingproduct characteristics, performance, and selection isessential. The Engineer will work together with the sales team during bid and project submittal process to ensure project success. This position is based in Seattle, WA with remote work flexibility available.

We welcome early-career engineers and candidates with strong, transferable technical skills from adjacent industries. HVAC exposure is valuable, and applicants with foundations in electrical, plumbing/pipefitting, building automation systems, solar, pneumatics/hydraulics, or similar disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain competency across all represented product lines; develop specialization where appropriate.
  • Communicate accurate, timely product information to all stakeholders.
  • Contribute ideas for product promotion and market growth initiatives.
  • Lead engineering appointments and training lunches.
  • Visit job sites or owner facilities to develop solutions or resolve field challenges.
  • Travel with engineers or customers to manufacturer' trainings and seminars.
  • Utilize tools such as Greenheck CAPS.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations; however, such duties will be reasonable, job-related, and consistent with the scope, level, and classification of the position.

Experience and Requirements:
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering/technical discipline.
  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and a desire to deepen knowledge in HVAC, air movement, and air control devices.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and equipment-specific software.
  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to educate others on product characteristics and performance.
Preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC design or relevant technical experience in adjacent industries (e.g., electrical, plumbing/pipefitting, building automation systems, solar/renewables, pneumatics/hydraulics, or other applied mechanical systems).
  • Working knowledge of controls and mechanical equipment.
