Job summary

City Facilities Management is seeking a RHVAC Technician to install, maintain and repair refrigeration, HVAC systems in commercial settings. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. Expect field-based work on customer sites, with potential on-call and overtime.

The role requires valid RHVAC credentials, EPA certification, and a clean DMV background, with a focus on safety and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; RHVAC training preferred.
• Refrigeration license and EPA certification required; OSHA 10-Hour within 30 days.
• Pass DMV check, background check, and drug screen; valid driver’s license.
• Completion of RHVAC apprenticeship or formal RHVAC training program.
• Experience with installation, service, and repair of HVAC/refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance: filters, refrigerant checks, sensors, leaks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC/refrigeration issues; repair parts as needed.
• Install HVAC/refrigeration systems and ensure proper ductwork wiring and piping.
• Communicate with customers about issues, solutions, and maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with codes and regulations; maintain records.
