Job Overview

The Retail Mechanic reports to the CCA Retail Manager and collaborates with other employees to install ventilation, air conditioning, and environmental control systems primarily in the retail HVAC market. This role involves interpreting work orders, determining necessary materials and tools, and performing installations with limited supervision. The position is non-exempt and serves as a brand ambassador for CCA.

Essential Job Functions

1. Install HVAC systems and ducting, including new installations and replacements.
2. Coordinate with construction crews and adhere to schedules.
3. Manage onsite replacement processes and supervise crew members.
4. Ensure installations are timely, quality, and correct.
5. Position ventilation, air conditioning, and environmental control equipment.
6. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
7. Maintain cooperative relationships with customers and colleagues.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.
9. Work overtime and be on-call as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Mechanic or similar in HVAC.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of materials and operation of specialized installation equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and presentation skills.
