The Residential Service HVAC Manager oversees the daily operations of a residential HVAC service division. This role is responsible for managing technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and driving profitability through efficient scheduling, customer satisfaction, and team development. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership, communication, and business management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of residential HVAC service technicians and apprentices
• Plan, schedule, and dispatch service calls to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Ensure all work complies with state and local codes along with all company safety regulations
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching, and training for team members
• Oversee troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of complex HVAC issues
• Manage inventory, tools, and materials to ensure technicians are properly equipped
• Monitor job costs, labor hours, and departmental profitability
• Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, productivity, and revenue
• Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure positive resolution
• Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for service upgrades and maintenance agreements
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, inspections, and compliance documentation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in residential HVAC service, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and mechanical code requirements

Compensation:

• Competitive Pay: $75,000 - $90,000, based on experience
