Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician in Rockford, IL. The role supports repair and maintenance of refrigeration HVAC equipment across Walmart facilities, using commercial HVAC skills and a variety of tools.

You’ll collaborate with teams to ensure reliability and safety in a fast-paced retail environment. The position requires 2 years of HVAC maintenance experience, EPA refrigerant handling certification, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations per Walmart safety policy.
