Job summary

Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center provides refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, repair, and support to assigned service calls in the Houston area. Technicians drive to stores daily, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and replace compressors or large components as needed.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, a high school diploma or equivalent, EPA Type 2 Certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
• EPA Type 2 Certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned.
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and procedures to buildings and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
• Perform compressor, large motor and component replacement.
• Maintain inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment and powered industrial trucks safely.
• Complete repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation.
