Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems and related equipment across our campus in Memphis.

The role requires hands-on work with air handling systems, chillers, and refrigeration units to keep our facilities operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of HVAC experience, hospital environment familiarity, and a solid grounding in CMMS and BAS systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HVAC mechanic experience required.
• Experience in a hospital or similar environment preferred.
• Experience with ultra low freezers preferred.
• Familiar with facilities management, technical maintenance or customer service.
• Experience with repair and maintenance of facilities related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal facility performance.
• Ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of a facility; promote safety-minded practices.
• Provide support of preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic and pneumatic facility controls and respond to abnormal conditions.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common areas and facility equipment.
• Assist with training of junior personnel and share knowledge with the team.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
