Job Summary:
HVAC/Refrigeration technicians are responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration, heating and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Pay Range :
$47 – $81/Hour
Duties/Responsibilities
- Install, service and repair refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using testing equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency.
- Handle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Replace faulty components such as compressors, motors and thermostats.
- Ensure all work meets safety codes and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Respond to emergency repair calls when necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., on uneven terrain, climb a ladder and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience
- HVAC/R Certification required
- Proven experience as an HVAC/R Technician
- Appropriate EPA certifications

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in a standard office environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
