Walmart in Edmond, OK is hiring a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration. The role requires Journeyman and offers an $8,000 sign-on bonus, with hourly pay between $29.00 and $58.00 and full-time schedules.

You will install and service HVAC and refrigeration systems, supervise field teams, mentor apprentices, and coordinate with managers. Some shifts vary; you may drive company vehicle and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
• EPA Type I and Type II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
• HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman where required.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Configures and calibrates low ambient systems and direct digital controls to meet specifications.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial/industrial systems.
• Leads field teams and mentors technicians and Apprentices on procedures and safety.
• Maintains and repairs racks, walk-ins, reach-ins, and supermarket refrigeration units.
