Job Summary

The HVAC and Refrigeration Technician primarily focuses on performing daily maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. This role is responsible for maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning/refrigeration systems, diagnosing issues, and repairing to meet operational and safety standards.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure efficient operation and longevity (filter, belts, grease).
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. Carry out repairs or replacements as needed.
• Perform inspections of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and provide training.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations. Keep detailed logs to track system performance on CMMS system.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide effective solutions to restore system functionality, including overnight and weekend shifts as needed.
• Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and HVAC/R spare parts inventory.

Required Skills

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand, bend, kneel, and climb as needed.

• Work in various weather conditions.
• Maintain balance on ladders or elevated platforms.
