Job summary

Abbott Park, IL-based HVAC/R Mechanic II role responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of a wide range of HVAC/R systems across manufacturing, research labs and facilities. The position requires 3+ years in industrial HVAC/R, EPA refrigerant certification preferred, and a strong customer-service orientation.

Qualifications

Education: Must have a high school education or equivalent.
Background: 3+ years of formal training and work experience in HVAC/R maintenance in a commercial/industrial setting.
EPA certification for refrigerant reclaiming equipment preferred.
Associates Degree Preferred; strong customer service skills; ability to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC/R systems and equipment.
Install, repair and commission refrigeration equipment and components according to Abbott standards.
Collaborate with team leaders and other trades to ensure GMP and safety policies are followed.
Operate CMMS for maintenance scheduling, parts ordering and job documentation.
