Position Summary
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the Club’s multiple facilities and operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, electrical and mechanical knowledge, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and a commitment to supporting a first-class member and employee experience.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues utilizing schematics, meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct inspections to identify operational issues, safety concerns, and equipment deficiencies.
- Repair or replace defective components, including motors, compressors, thermostats, relays, controls, piping, and wiring.
- Utilize tools and equipment including ohmmeters, welding equipment, gauges, and plumbing tools as needed.
- Ensure all HVAC/R systems operate efficiently and in compliance with applicable building codes, OSHA standards, safety regulations, and Club policies.
- Support general property maintenance efforts related to HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, inspections, and materials utilized.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with fellow Engineering team members, contractors, and department leaders to complete projects and minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all times.
- Deliver exceptional internal customer service while interacting professionally with members, guests, and fellow team members.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in HVAC/R installation, maintenance, and repair preferred.
- HVAC Certification required.
- Journeyman HVAC License strongly preferred.
- EPA Certification (Universal preferred).
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC/R systems, electrical systems, controls, and preventative maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated electrical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Working knowledge of OSHA rules, regulations, and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience utilizing diagnostic tools and testing equipment, including ohmmeters and electrical testing devices.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, plumbing, appliance repair, and welding is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency calls as operational needs require.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials consistent with Facilities operations.
