ADP, Inc. in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to keep the Club's HVAC/Refrigeration equipment in good repair and working order, and to assist in coordinating clubhouse repairs.
You will troubleshoot air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems, replace components, perform preventive maintenance and maintain inventory. Responsibilities include documenting work, ordering parts, and supporting storm preparations under the Director of Engineering while working
POSITION SUMMARY: The HVAC/Refrigeration Technician performs the duties necessary to keep the HVAC/Refrigeration equipment of the Club in good repair and working order. This position assists in the coordination of the Clubhouse repairs by performing the following duties.
Trouble shoot and diagnose air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems with the use of gauges, metering devices and trade tools
Replace electrical components of systems such as contactors, capacitors, relays and time clocks
Replace mechanical and digital thermostats
Replace mechanical components such as motors, belts and fan blades
Perform extensive preventative maintenance program and properly document work
Clean and disinfect ice machines following manufacture guidelines
Maintain a proper parts inventory for common repair items
Order and or pick up parts at or through local supply distributors
Maintains workshop, golf cart and clean working environment.
Assists with storm preparations as needed.
Provides feedback to Director of Engineering.
Performs any additional tasks as requested by the Director of Engineering or General Manager.
High school diploma; GED or trade school certification
3-5 years of experience in HVAC and Building Maintenance
Must have standard trade hand tools and gauges
Must have the ability to understand, interpret and follow a variety of instructions orally and in written form including schematics and diagrams
Must be able to use power tools at a safe operational level; Club will provide power or battery type tools
Must be able to work independently
Valid driver’s license
EPA Certification
HVAC/Refrigeration license or certification
Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 75+ lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, turning, stooping and crawling into small spaces.
At times, digging with shovel may be required.
Ability to stand and work on your feet for several hours at a time.
Inside and outside working conditions. Prolonged outside conditions to include servicing equipment on roof tops
Normal vision and hearing ranges required.
