Job summary

IMD is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Service Technician to join our Windsor, Colorado-based service team. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing HVAC/R systems across commercial and industrial environments while serving as a key point of contact for customers and internal project teams.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize HVAC/R equipment, coordinate multi-site service work, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior HVAC/R service experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary on-site representative of IMD, delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC/R equipment and systems.
• Coordinate service work across multiple jobs, accounts, and customer sites simultaneously.
• Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and project teams regarding work status, findings, and recommendations.
• Review building layouts, equipment conditions, and job requirements to plan and execute service work effectively.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, hand tools, software, blueprints, and engineering specifications to complete work accurately.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and site safety standards.
• Maintain accountability for company tools, equipment, and materials.
• Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule; occasional overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
